Hyderabad: Tirupati MP Bally Durga Prasad Rao, 64, who was undergoing treatment for Kovid, has passed away. He was treated at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai. Hospital officials said the cause of death was a heart attack. Durga Prasad Rao was admitted to the Apollo Hospital 15 days ago after his health deteriorated due to Kovid.
Durga Prasad Rao, a leader from Gudur district, has been elected to the Legislative Assembly four times. He also served as the Minister of Primary Education in 1996-98. Durga Prasad Rao was elected MP from Tirupati on a YSR Congress party ticket. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the death of Durga Prasad Rao.
