Dubai: IPL With just days to go before the 13th season, Rajasthan Royals
England’s most valuable all-rounder in the IPL, Ben Stotoks, may not play this time. Royals coach Andrew McDonald’s has indicated that Stotox is currently in New Zealand for his father’s treatment. Stoke, who won the ODI World Cup for England, have yet to put up a good innings for Rajasthan.
It was hoped that the player playing in the form would shine this time. Stotox is yet to confirm whether he will play in the UAE. The Stokes did not play in the series against Pakistan and Australia. MacDonald said the Stokes family is going through a tough time. Stocks are given the time they need. “Therefore, it is not possible to say that the England player will not play in the IPL,” he said.
Stokes’ father was a New Zealand rugby player. It has been made clear that Royals captain Steve Smith will also miss the first leg. Smith continues to play in Australia’s England series. A six-day quarantine is also mandatory when Australian players arrive in the UAE. McDonald’s has not said when Smith will play for the Royals. McDonald’s claimed that they had a good batting line-up even though there were no foreign players. The team also has youngsters like the successful Jaiswal.
