Yogyakarta – The police revealed that an employee of the Jogja Trubus Bakery who died in a fire accidentally set himself on fire in the shop. The employee with the initials IY is said to have a problem with the shop owner.
“So there is indeed an internal problem between the employee, IY and the shop owner (Trubus). For what problem is it still under investigation,” said Yogyakarta Police Chief of Police, Iptu Maulana Yusuf when met by reporters at his office, Saturday (12/09/2020) .
The Trubus bakery located on Jalan Poncowinatan, Cokrodiningratan Village, Jetis District, Yogyakarta City caught fire at around 05.30 WIB this morning. Maulana Yusuf revealed that IY wanted to meet the shop owner. However, the owner of the Jogja Trubus Bakery, said Maulana Yusuf, could only meet his employee at noon.
Not only that, the police also revealed that IY’s action was caught by the shop’s CCTV. From the CCTV footage, IY came to the Trubus Bakery at 05.00 WIB.
“So he came first, finally he (IY) entered, and after he entered it was suspected that he took the gasoline and set himself on fire,” he said.
Maulana Yusuf continued, currently the police are still examining a number of witnesses, ranging from employees and shop owners.
“While now there are 5 (five witnesses) from employees and shop owners. Because it was dawn and there were no people there, there were only employees,” he said.
