The writer Hristo Stoyanov smashed Radev and the protests and pointed out who is the most honest politician in Bulgaria

The main feature of the Bulgarian is the successful person to tread and hate himself. Prime Minister Borissov has shown that he also has strong nerves. Many people in our country try to enter politics for one reason only – shouting that others are thieves.

However, they believe that this is the way and the reason for entering politics. Their desire to enter politics is theft, and they think that everyone who comes to power is a thief. Not at all. I know the family of my fellow citizen Tomislav Donchev and I think that this is one of the most honest politicians in Bulgaria in general. This was stated in an interview with “Maritsa” by the writer Hristo Stoyanov. Here is what he said:

– Should the government succumb to the pressure of protest?“They must be discussing all sorts of options.” The pressure from below continues, but of course we have to go to the polls. There is no other option if we want to be a democratic country.

– A whole month of protests and blocked intersections – what did they show?

“They didn’t show anything.” The bad thing is that people are the same, and not many. At the protests, in general, we see people who are not realized.
There is a wonderful folk word – mukaetliya, a person who can cope. There are no mukaetlii among the protesters, there are no people with ideas. Everyone speaks memorized phrases, they already have Protestant slang – mutra, mafia, bought, salesman.

The most absurd thing is that it is the people who jump illegally against certain shortcomings who speak of legality. You can’t demand legality and make illegal recordings in the prime minister’s bedroom. You can’t break the law. Not everyone can ask for a change in the judiciary – let them first explain which of the four existing judicial systems in the world. There is European, Anglo-Saxon, but there is also Sharia.

I remember the Dunning-Krueger Effect – for people who do not have the qualities and capacity, but still judge those of others.

– Should we be tolerant of the protest?

– Of course not. I think that Prime Minister Borissov has shown that he also has strong nerves. I do not want to be misunderstood – I am not a boycott, I am not a fan of any party, but as a citizen I know when the next elections are, I know who I would vote for.

As I wrote on Facebook, politicians come and go – some with a coup, others in elections, the luckiest ones even leave by natural death. But whatever politicians come after them, even geniuses, will come across the same Bulgarian people. And God, who came across this people, we changed him several times. From Tangra we passed through Jesus and came to Allah.

We killed Stambolov, we also killed Lukanov. We greeted the king with “Hosanna!”, We sent him with “Crucify him!”. Everyone says that during the tsar there was the best business climate, then Bulgaria stood up. Ie the foundations of present-day Bulgaria of GERB were laid by the king. Let’s mention what no one says.

Many people in our country try to enter politics for one reason only – shouting that others are thieves. However, they believe that this is the way and the reason for entering politics. Their desire to enter politics is theft, and they think that anyone who comes to power is a thief.

Not at all. I know the family of my fellow citizen Tomislav Donchev and I think that this is one of the most honest politicians in Bulgaria in general.

– Why are these ambitions of the president to form an official cabinet?

– Fear guards the vine. And in muddy water it is easiest to catch fish. The chief prosecutor told him clearly that he could not catch him now, but after the end of his term – no problem. And apparently there is something there. And we see a defensive reaction. I am not praised by a man who has turned his back on the burned community center of his native village of Slavyanovo. He did not say a word to at least donate a book to the community center.

I cry when I look at this huge beautiful building in ruins. But he invites authors to the presidency on May 24, among whom there are probably those whose books were burned in the community center. After receiving the Nobel Prize, William Faulkner refused to allow President Harry Truman to fight 5,000 km to attend a White House lunch. How many Bulgarian writers will not go to take pictures with Rumen Radev ?! I personally would never go.

In my previous book “Obituaries …” I have an open letter to Mr. Radev. He was intimidated when he realized that a law enforcement officer had finally appeared in the person of the Attorney General. I really think that Ivan Geshev did things that were not done in Bulgaria in six months. It literally melted the criminals under the “Hello, hello” system, who brazenly accumulated bundles of money from elderly people set aside for burial.

Thanks to Ivan Geshev, these people were put where they belong. They soon discovered the largest drug lab for the production of tons of marijuana. You can’t shout against the prosecutor’s office: “Mutri, mobsters!”. My wife is a deputy. District Prosecutor of Varna. Since we’ve been together, she’s been at work every day. He is currently on leave, but working. Probably because he’s a mobster! This is the slang of the protesters – to tarnish and wherever he catches a savage, he catches. But the truth is quite different!

– How will things develop? Will there be an escalation?

– Every miracle in three days. The EU has already untied our hands – every country must obey its laws. Angela Merkel restrained anarchists in Germany a few days ago. Anyone have something to say to Macron about dealing with yellow vests? These are internal affairs of the individual countries.

It is high time this happened in Bulgaria. The elections will come, everyone will choose which party to vote for. If anyone has ever read the program of the party they are voting for! That is why a voter qualification is needed. Why didn’t any of the protesters tell GERB: “You didn’t fulfill these promises in your program, that’s why you have to leave!”.

Nothing dramatic will happen except the inconvenience caused to citizens to move.
Whatever we say, Borissov turned out to be a very good politician. In his mandates, things have normalized in the Balkans – we have good relations with Skopje, Belgrade. Thanks to good contacts with Ankara, we have no migratory pressure. He has resigned twice, now he has decided to make things happen. And they will develop only in his favor.

– What change in our society will the protests lead to?

– To no serious change. Well, several families can divorce, the people are politicized again.

We are currently witnessing the rebellion of the sons, a purely Freudian complex that is coming to the forefront of politics. On the street are the children of the parents, who in the struggle for survival worked in two or three places and did not give enough love to their children. The family in our country has become a state problem. There, perhaps, we should have a more serious income policy for families with children.

Let people on the street think of useful ideas, changes in legislation, and not shout banal slang and make illegal records.
And as for those who are pushing to become politicians – what does Slavi Trifonov understand from politics ?! His main weapon is a protruding tongue, ready to lick anyone.

– Is Bulgaria normalizing 30 years after the beginning of the changes?

– There are Bulgarians who can defend their positions. Not those on the street, but others who said, “Don’t bother us, let us work!”
Gradually we normalize. And there are protests all over the world right now, this is a normal process. Unlike our protesters, however, the French yellow vests had specific goals. And here no one says what should be done after a possible resignation.

At an unexpected meeting in Rosenets with the honorary chairman of the MRF, Ahmed Dogan, the protesters looked like they had been caught by a neighbor shaking his plum junk. They shouted: “We want Rosenets!”, But when Dogan came out, they told him meekly: “We don’t want to leave Bulgaria!”. And he, a man boiling in politics, looked at them with his ironic gaze.

Let us finally admit that the April Uprising was not to get rid of Ottoman rule, but against the rich man who became rich. We are currently doing exactly the same thing. The main feature of the Bulgarian is the successful person to tread and hate himself. We don’t seem to have enough revolutions. By the way, what revolutions have we had? I am a Russophile, but neither September 9 nor November 10 is a revolution.

That is why we are still mired in feudal orders with socialist thinking in a capitalist society. We need a lot of time to mature. It will happen – when someone climbs on our plum.

Hristo Stoyanov is among the most productive contemporary writers. He worked as a docker, foundryman, crane operator, journalist. Translates poetry from Vietnamese, Russian, Serbian. Because of the novel “The Hidden Life of a Pomak” the prosecutor’s office started an investigation against him. Several more scandalous novels followed, which caused a wide public response – “The Bastard – Gospel of Judas”, for which he was excommunicated from the Church, “I, the informer”, “Death Street”, “Decay”. His books of short stories and essays are popular: “Stories in Bulgaria”, “Warnings in Bulgaria”, “Protest Children of Bulgaria”, “Seriously for Bulgaria”, “Obituaries and other dots in Bulgaria”. Because of the brave ones, the Bulgarian Salman Rushdie is also called a language.
