New Delhi: The Supreme Court has found senior advocate Prashant Bhushan guilty in a court-martial case. Sentencing is set for August 20. Chief Justice S.A. The case is based on two tweets on June 27 and 29 referring to Bobday and former Chief Justices of the Supreme Court. The apex court had yesterday ruled that Prashant Bhushan’s explanation in the case was not satisfactory.

Prashant Bhushan had commented on a picture of Chief Justice Bob Bode on a superbike, saying, “Chief Justice BJP leader’s superbike, which was closed by the Supreme Court for denying justice to the people, is without a helmet and mask.” But on August 2, he explained that he did not notice that the bike was in the stand and regretted that part of the tweet.

In a June 27 tweet, he also tweeted criticizing former chief justices. Prashant Bhushan’s explanation was that he had revealed his freedom of expression and that criticizing judges personally would not tarnish the image of the judiciary and the Supreme Court.

Based on these tweets, the Supreme Court voluntarily took up the case. The court had said that Prashant Bhushan’s statement was a violation of the dignity and authority of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice.
