Thiruvananthapuram: Six more people died due to Kovid-19 in the state. Kovid’s death was reported in Kasargod, Kannur, Ernakulam and Idukki Malappuram districts on Sunday.

Elikutty Devasya, a native of Nedunkandam, Idukki, died while undergoing treatment for fever. Kovid confirmed them after his death. Kovid also confirmed the death of an 11-month-old baby in Malappuram on Saturday.

CK Gopi, a native of Aluva Keermat, died while undergoing treatment at Kalamassery Medical College Hospital. The source of Gopi’s illness has not yet been identified.

Sajith (41), a native of Chakkarakkal in Kannur, died due to Kovid infection. Kovid is suspected to have contracted the disease while undergoing treatment at Pariyaram Medical College in critical condition.

Hasainar Haji from Kasargod, Thrikkarippur and Sheharbanu from Uppala died. Both were being treated at private hospitals. Kovid confirmed the two on July 28.
