Washington: The prosecution will demand the death penalty for her husband Philip Mathew in the murder case of Merin Joy, a Malayalee nurse in the United States. Merin was killed on the morning of July 28th.
State Attorney Michael Sats said in a letter to the court that he had committed a heinous crime and that it was a premeditated murder. Philip is currently in the Broad County Jail.
The letter submitted to the court by the prosecution stated that if the grand jury found Philip Mathew guilty of first-degree murder, he would seek the death penalty.
When she arrived at the hospital parking lot to return home after the night shift, Philip stabbed Mary and then drove off with the body.
