New cases of coronavirus have been registered in New Zealand for the first time in more than 100 days, AP reported.

Four cases of coronavirus have been found in one household in Auckland. The origin of the infection is unclear.

For 102 days, New Zealand had not registered infections transmitted locally, reminds BTA.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that a third level of public health threat will take effect in Auckland, the country’s largest city, from noon tomorrow.

This means that people will be called to stay at home, and bars and many other shops will be closed.

A second level of health threat will be declared in the rest of the country.
