JAKARTA – Epidemiologist expert from Airlangga University (Airlangga University) Laura Navila Yamani admitted that he did not agree with the Surabaya City Government’s move to develop face-to-face learning scenarios during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I disagree (with face-to-face learning scenarios in Surabaya),” Laura said when contacted Legal in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/8/2020).
According to Laura, this scenario is very vulnerable to becoming a new cluster. Moreover, the rate of transmission or RT in Surabaya is still one point and close to number two.
He also cited the incident in Hong Kong. There they had to apply face-to-face learning directly, but then it was closed again because it was found that the spread of the corona virus.
“Seeing how the health protocol is implemented has been very carried out, then disciplined and consistent. But in reality, there is still spread in schools until they finally close again,” explained Laura.
