Kozhikode: The crime branch is investigating the incident in which a young man from Farooq was killed in a train accident last year. Evidence, including a phone call, and the loss of Rs 15 lakh were found in connection with the death of Jamshed, who was working in a private company.
It is important to note that Jamshed had sent money to both the accounts several times and under what circumstances such a large amount of money had reached the women’s account. Jamshed had given money to the women from various traders. The crime branch has also collected information about women who called Jamshed regularly.
Statements have been taken from the husbands of the two women. Earlier, relatives had expressed suspicion about those who were in constant contact with Jamshed, but the police did not take these suspicions seriously.
Based on the complaint lodged by the mother with the DGP, the DySP R. Haridas was assigned the task of investigation. Jamshed, who worked for a private company, was also involved in drafting GST bills, including for shops.
He had earned the loyalty of the merchants by his decent conduct and hard work. Jamshed was killed in a train accident on the night of August 29 last year. The police had closed the case on the ground that it was a suicide. Following this, the relatives lodged a complaint with the police. Evidence including scientific examination of the incident will be collected.
