A new threat loomed over Europe

A heat wave is expected for a second consecutive weekend in a number of countries in Western Europe.

The most affected will be Britain, with expected around and above 36 degrees. Authorities urged people to keep a social distance and avoid visiting beaches and parks.

According to the Climate Change Committee in London, the number of deaths due to heat could triple by 2050. The reason is the lack of a policy for maintaining normal temperatures indoors.

A red code has been announced in Paris and the surrounding area due to the expected heat. The municipality called on the elderly and people with chronic diseases not to leave their homes, especially in the hottest hours of the day.

A red code for hot weather has also been issued in the Netherlands.
