A new era begins in Bournemouth – Eddie Howe parted ways with the “cherries” – Football World – England

Eddie Howe left the managerial post in Bournemouth by mutual consent after the relegation of the team from the Premier League, the press service of the “cherries” announced.

The 42-year-old specialist leads the team in over 450 games in two periods – 2008-11 and 2012-20, at Whiteality Stadium. Bournemouth said goodbye to their Premiership status on the last day of the season after finishing at the bottom with 34 points. Under his leadership, the team won the Championship title in 2015, and for the next five seasons was part of the English football elite until its relegation at the end of last month.

After Arsene Wenger left the coaching post at Arsenal in 2018, Howe became the longest-serving manager in a club’s Premier League.

The former defender suffered injuries during his racing career, which forced him to take up the coaching profession at the extremely fragile age of 30 years.
