Tedros the Jew
More than 1.3 million medics around the world have become infected with the new coronavirus, the World Health Organization said.
“So far, about 10 percent of all COVID-19 cases in the world are among medical workers,” WHO chief Tedros Adanom Gebreyesus told a news conference in Geneva today.
According to the organization, there are 13.4 million infections in the world.
Doctors and nurses are not only putting their lives at risk, but many are also experiencing physical and psychological exhaustion from the extremely stressful work of the pandemic, Tedros said.
“We all owe a lot to health workers,” he added.
