An AutoWeek reader caught Mercedes-Benz testing all-new C-class during test work. At an unguarded moment, that reader took out his camera and captured the camouflaged sedan. This is the result!
Despite the busy print, it is clearly visible that there are no major changes in terms of shapes. So count on major changes in the nose to give the C-class a modern family look again. Naturally, the new E-class is also carefully considered, with more squeezed together and smaller headlights as a result. Following the example of the same E, the butt seems to be grabbed more firmly. There it seems that Mercedes opts for a slightly tighter whole.
The new C-class will soon use an advanced version of the current, modular MRA platform. Do not expect an all-electric C-class on the motor plane, because that place must occupy an EQ model, but assume an electrified engine line with mild hybrids and plug-in hybrids.
The current W205 generation is one of the oldest models in Mercedes’ immense range. Chances are that the brand new C-class will be driven onto the podium in a very short time.
