Fifty more Covid cases in four districts including Ernakulam and Alappuzha today; District wise


Thiruvananthapuram: Covid spread in the state continues to be stagnant. Today, more than 50 Kovid cases were reported in four districts. Palakkad, Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Kasaragod have the highest number of Kovid patients. Across the state, 435 people have been diagnosed with the disease. A total of 206 people contracted the disease.

Palakkad 59, Alappuzha 57, Kasaragod 56, Ernakulam 50, Malappuram 42, Thiruvananthapuram 40, Pathanamthitta 39, Thrissur and Wayanad districts 19 each, Kannur 17, Idukki 16, Kottayam 12, Kollam 5 and Kozhikode 4.

Today, 128 cases were reported from foreign countries and 87 from other states. 41 each in Ernakulam and Kasaragod districts, 35 in Alappuzha district, 31 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 24 in Pathanamthitta district, 17 in Malappuram district, 6 in Kottayam district and 4 in Kollam district. The disease affected 5 people, 4 in Thrissur district and 1 each in Idukki and Palakkad districts. Valsala (63), who died on July 5 in Thrissur and Babu (52), who died on July 7 in Alappuzha, were positive.

10 health workers were also affected. Four in Alappuzha district, two in Thiruvananthapuram district and one each in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Ernakulam Kasaragod districts have been diagnosed with the disease. In addition, a DSC in Kannur district. A jawan and a CISF jawan fell ill.
