The research was conducted by the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biopriya at Monash University. The study team also included researchers from the ARC Center for Excellence in Convergent Bionano Science and Technology.
The presence of the corona virus is detected by taking 25 microliters of plasma from blood samples and combining it with red blood cells. Swab tests are currently being performed to detect the presence of the virus in the blood.
