Because of COVID-19: A city in Great Britain was blocked again, there are also Bulgarians (MAP)
Leicester is the first city in Britain to be re-blocked due to too many cases of coronavirus, as Monitor has already written.
Health Minister Matt Hancock has announced that the percentage of infected people in the town is 3 times higher than in other parts of the country, with many of the new patients under the age of 18. A total of 944 people have been infected in the last two weeks in Leicester, where they live. about 348,000 people.
This necessitated the closure of schools again, shops for non-essential goods and the urging of residents to stay at home.
There are a lot of Bulgarians in Leicester. Some of them are studying at the local university and are probably not in the city at the moment, as the university was closed at the end of March. The situation is the same in Manchester and Birmingham, for which there are predictions that they may be the next re-blocked settlements.
There is also an increase in the number of infected people in Wiltshire, Havering and Doncaster (see map).
