Washington: The US has banned Chinese companies after India. Chinese companies have been banned in the US, citing threats to national security. The US Federal Communications Commission announced the ban on companies. Huawei and ZTE have been banned.
In India, 59 apps were banned. The companies were banned from distributing projects under the Universal Service Fund, allegedly linked to the Chinese military and intelligence services. The FCC said the decision was intended to protect US networks from security risks.
As a result of the action, the FCC will no longer purchase, maintain, improve, modify or support any of the suppliers’ products or services produced from the Universal Service Fund of $ 8.3 billion (approximately $ 62,676 crore) annually.
