The corona crisis; Private school with no fees for three months

Lucknow: Private schools in Uttar Pradesh have waived three months of fees due to the coronation crisis. The New Scholar Academy School, a private school in Prayag Raj, has taken a humanitarian stand.

School officials have said they will not charge fees for April, May and June. Principal Mamata Mishra said students in different environments are attending school and therefore not all parents can afford to pay their children’s fees. The decision was taken based on this situation.

Online classes are currently taking place in the context of the spread of coronavirus. Mamata Mishra said the students communicate and take classes through WhatsApp and Youtube. “The teachers and other staff will not be paid salaries,” the principal said.
