Kia’s luxury MPV is half Indian in Indian cricket

Carnival is the second vehicle launched by Kia in India. Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja has become one of the first celebrity owners of Kia Carnival to break into the luxury MPV segment. The half-time Malayalee, who played several matches for the Indian team, including the 1999 World Cup, won the new carnival yesterday.

The Kia Carnival was launched at the New Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year. Carnival has three variants – Premium, Prestige and Limousine. It is not clear which model Ajay Jadeja owns. Carnival’s showroom is priced at around Rs 24.95 lakh and Rs 33.95 lakh. The new MPV will arrive in seven, eight and nine seat combinations. The basic variant premium (available in seven and eight seats) features a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Cruise Control, Push Button Start and 18 inch Crystal Cut Alloy wheels.

The second variant of the Prestige comes with LED Projector Headlamp, Ice Cube LED Fog Lamp, LED Tail Lamp, Dual Panel Electric Sunroof and Corner Brake Control. The Prestige is available in seven and nine seat variants. The high-end limousine will only be available in a seven-seat variant. The limousine arrives with a three-zone climate control and two 10.1-inch screens for rear seat passengers.

The vehicle is powered by a BS6 standard 2.2-liter diesel engine. It has 200 hp and 440 Nm of torque. The car is powered by an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
