Corona; 11 patients, including 3-year-old Malappuram, have been confirmed


Malappuram: Eleven people, including a three-year-old girl, have been confirmed with coronavirus today. Three people from Dubai, two from Kuwait, one from Jordan, two from Bengaluru and one each from Chennai, Coimbatore and Delhi have been confirmed. She was admitted to Manjeri Medical College Hospital after being diagnosed with the disease.

The three-year-old girl, who was diagnosed with the disease, arrived at her home in Dubai from Dubai on May 23 with her parents. In addition to the three-year-old, the young woman and the elderly who returned from Dubai have also been diagnosed with the disease. The 26-year-old woman from Ponnani Ezhavaruthurthi arrived in Kochi from Dubai on May 28. Another 62-year-old resident of Ponmundam, who arrived from Dubai on May 22, was also infected.

The 36-year-old resident of Vaalur Omachappuzha, who arrived in Karippur via Karippur on May 26, and 57-year-old resident of Puzhakkattiri who arrived in Kochi from Kuwait on May 26, were among those who were diagnosed with the disease. The 58-year-old resident of Valluvangad, Vettikkattiri who was returning from Jordan on a special flight from Kochi on May 22, has been diagnosed with the disease.

Five persons from outside the state have been diagnosed with the disease today. This includes a native of Palakkad and a BSF jawan. The 35-year-old from Palakkod, who was on a private bus from Bengaluru on May 22, from Palakkod on May 15, was a 20-year-old from Marancherry Masterpady who was returning from Chennai on May 19. The 24-year-old man, a BSF jawan from Malappuram and a 27-year-old BSF jawan, who was returning from Kozhikode on May 26 by a special train from Delhi, has been confirmed.
