Five persons from outside the state have been diagnosed with the disease today. This includes a native of Palakkad and a BSF jawan. The 35-year-old from Palakkod, who was on a private bus from Bengaluru on May 22, from Palakkod on May 15, was a 20-year-old from Marancherry Masterpady who was returning from Chennai on May 19. The 24-year-old man, a BSF jawan from Malappuram and a 27-year-old BSF jawan, who was returning from Kozhikode on May 26 by a special train from Delhi, has been confirmed.
