Former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori, the spin bowling coach of the Dhaka-Bangladesh cricket team, has come forward to offer a portion of his rewards to low-paid staff at the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Vettori, who was hired as Bangladesh bowling coach for the Twenty20 World Cup, has been paid Rs 1.90 crore for a 100-day contract. Vettori has decided to give a part of it to the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Vettori is the highest paid person in the Bangladesh coaching team. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury has confirmed that Vettori donated a portion of his reward to low-wage Bangladesh Cricket Board in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Daniel Vettori has announced his intention to pay a portion of his salary to the low income earners of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. He was officially informed of this by the Cricket Operations Committee. However, the exact amount donated by forty-one-year-old Vettori is unclear.
