The US administration will explore ways to protect Americans from the risks of investing in Chinese companies. This was stated by US President Donald Trump at a briefing at the White House, world agencies reported. He noted that he had ordered a review of the activities of Chinese companies whose securities are traded on US stock exchanges to protect US investors.
“Investment companies should not expose their clients to hidden and unjustified risks associated with financing Chinese companies that do not follow the same rules as others,” Trump said.
Among those involved in the working group, which will review the activities of Chinese companies, are Finance Minister Stephen Mnuchin and Central Banker Jerome Powell.
