Britain has reached its goal of building a study capacity of 200,000 people a day for the new coronavirus, Reuters reported.

Health Minister Matt Hancock called it “an important step on our path to controlling the spread of the virus, saving lives and gradually easing quarantine”.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has set a goal of reaching 200,000 tests a day by the end of the month, BTA writes.

This capacity was reached yesterday, Hancock said in a statement.
