NEW DELHI: The country’s Kovid outbreak is on the rise, a Health Ministry official has said. It is likely that the next two months will increase the likelihood of this happening. States and hospitals were advised to be on high alert.

It has also been suggested to increase the number of ventilators in hospitals and find beds for maximum number of patients. There were 6654 people diagnosed with Kovid in the country yesterday. This is the highest increase in the number of people diagnosed with a single day. With this, the total number of cases has reached 1.25 lakh.

The situation is getting worse around the world. The number of people affected by Kovid is close to 54 lakh. 3.43 lakh people have already died. In the US alone, 98,000 people died. New York’s mortality rate has eased for the United States. The number of people living with Kovid in the US has reached 16.6 lakh.

In Russia and Brazil, the number of people affected by Kovid has crossed three lakh. Thousands of people participated in the anti-lockdown protest in various cities in Spain, a new headache for the government. In the last 24 hours, 137 people have died in India. With this the total death toll was 3720. In four days more than a quarter of a million people in the country fell ill. Kovid confirmed a total of 2608 cases in Maharashtra.
