Jacob Thomas, who is retiring from service after much legal battles, shared the beginning and end of the last day of civil service at the Shornur Metal Industries office.

The beginning of the last day of the service life and the sleeping in the office room is supposed to be part of a silent struggle against the government. 1985 batch IPS officer Jacob Thomas.

Jacob Thomas is probably the most experienced IPS officer in the government. In the early days of the Pinarayi Government, Jacob Thomas was in the Good Book of the Government and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as Vigilance Director.

Following the case against EP Jayarajan, he was involved with the government. He was suspended in 2017 as a vigilance director and returned to service two years later due to legal battles. It was then that Jacob Thomas was appointed as the MD of Metal Industries Limited, which was not borne by IAS IPS officials until then.

This criticism continued in his autobiography, Swimming With Sharks, and he faced further suspension. Jacob Thomas, when he took over as MD of Metal Industries, said that even cutting 101 would produce a sickle and a knife.

Jacob Thomas was sued two months ago in an illicit property case. The petition was moved by the High Court seeking a stay of the probe into the case.
