The president of the Spanish “La Liga” Association, Javier Tepas, confirmed that the La Liga championship will return only when the health authorities deem it possible.
Tebas spoke to the Spanish radio station “Cadena Cubi” and stated that the return of the Spanish League depends on the transition of Spain as a whole to stage 2 of the government isolation measures, while the cities of Barcelona and Madrid, for example, are still in stage 0.
Reports had announced that the La Liga competition was likely to return on June 12, and that Sevilla and Real Betis were to cut the ribbon of competitions, and other reports returned and confirmed that the league’s return would be on the 19th of the same month.

“We are excited to return from clubs, managers, players and referees, but the competition will start only when health authorities see this possible,” Tepas added in his radio address.
The German League kicked off last week, to be the first tournaments to return to the stadiums, while the rest of the European countries such as Italy, England and Spain are still waiting for the results of the Bundesliga return before allowing the players to return to the green rectangle, while the two tournaments were officially canceled in France and the Netherlands.
