Shad Gaspard, 39, called the Beast by wrestlers, drowned in the Pacific Ocean, where he went swimming with his 10-year-old son. That day, however, there was a strong deadly excitement that dragged the two into the ocean.
A rescue team still managed to reach the victims. The beast chose to take out his son first and then return for him. However, he could not wait for them.
At 4 p.m., the Coast Guard searched for him within a 70-mile radius. Authorities in Los Angeles have confirmed Gaspard’s death after his wife identified his body.
The two-meter Gaspard made his WWE debut in 2002 and was among the most popular wrestlers for eight years, thanks mainly to his participation in pairs with JTG, with whom he formed the Cryme Tyme team. His career continued in cinema, where he starred in 10 films, as well as in almost as many television productions.
Dwayne Johnson – The Rock – expressed his condolences to the relatives of the Beast. “Incredible boy. Most sincere condolences and love for Shad’s wife, his son and the whole family. He drowned, but not before instructing rescuers to save his 10-year-old son. This is the father’s love. It’s hard to swallow “Love and light for Shad’s family. And his fighting spirit will continue to live with his son,” Skala wrote on Instagram.
