Rasha Sharbatji reveals her preoccupation with Arabic drama

The Syrian director Rasha Sharbatji saw that her return to Syrian drama is very natural, because she is the daughter of this drama, and in her she learned, worked and reached what she has now reached.

Sharbatji asserted in an interview with Sputnik that “Syrian drama has a great credit for her artistic career, and this is an undeniable fact.”

She revealed that her absence for three years and her preoccupation with the joint Arab drama is due to “the weakness of the texts and the scarcity of the possibilities presented … but when I found the appropriate offer, I did not hesitate to return, and I rejected Arab offers in exchange for that.”

Sharbatji did not hide the fact that the Syrian drama was declining, stating that “the terrorist war against Syria during ten years contributed greatly to this decline, in addition to the economic crisis caused by this war, and what made matters worse this year is the Corona virus, which forced many actions to stop Photography”.

Sharbatji, the daughter of the great Syrian director Hisham Sharbatji, added that many other things contributed to the decline as well, including “the easing and permissiveness, the absence of marketing strategies and the lack of careful study of the current reality.”

Director Sharbatji returned today to the Syrian drama after an absence of three years, specifically since the completion of the series “Shouq” 2017 season, where she is currently preparing to take part in her second experiences in the Levantine environment after the “happiest Warraq” 2010 season, to be present during the next dramatic season.

Sharbatji said that her new work, “Haret Al-Qubba”, written by Osama Kukash, brings together a group of Syrian drama stars, including Abbas Al-Nouri, the predecessor of Mimar, Fadi Sobeih, and Khaled Al-Qish, while negotiations are underway with other stars.

This Shami work will collect Rasha Sharbatji with the star Abbas Al-Nouri for the first time, while the rest have stood before her lens in previous works.

And “Haret Al-Qubba” will also witness the resumption of the company “Ivory” of the producer Hani Al-Ashi after her long absence, to renew cooperation between her and Rasha Sharbatji for the third time after “Asaad Al-Warraq” and “The Time of Shame”, which achieved great success since its first presentation in the 2009 season until now. .
