Air India pilots fly to Moscow to retrieve Indians as part of Vandebharat mission The DGCA has ordered an inquiry, citing that the prima facie case had failed.
The plane, which flew from New Delhi to Moscow at around 7 am, was recalled near Tajikistan. He returned to Delhi around 12.30 pm. Upon departure, the pilot was found to be positive. Six crew members were on the plane. They were placed under surveillance. The aircraft was sterilized.
It is strictly mandated that all pilots, including the pilot, be tested for Kovid before taking off and that there is no illness. The pilot was checked but was given permission to fly without notice that the results were positive. According to authorities, it was a mistake.
Air India is conducting over 200 Kovid tests daily for employees in Delhi alone.
