Bulgarian coach Pavel Dochev recorded a historic achievement in German football. His team led by Victoria Cologne lost 2: 4 away to Eintracht Brainschweig in the resumption of the season in the Third Bundesliga.

Pavel Dochev became the coach with the most matches in the Third Bundesliga. He recorded his match number 238 in the third level of German football.

Dochev equaled Peter Folman’s achievement of 237 matches in March, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, he waited almost three months to reach the top alone.

Pavel Dochev finished his career in Paderborn in 2002, and in 2003 he became the head of the club. In his rich business card in Germany, Dochev has led Rot-Weiss Essen, Sandhausen, Preussen Münster, Erzgebirge Aue, Hansa Rostock, and since 2019 he has been the coach of Victoria Cologne.
