The Pakistani Ministry of Health announced today, Saturday, that the number of victims of the crash of a Pakistani passenger plane over a residential neighborhood in Karachi has risen to 97, and two survivors.

On Friday, the Pakistan Airways plane, an Airbus “A-320”, crashed near Karachi airport.

Local media reported earlier that there were 107 people on board, including the crew. Police, ambulances and emergency services arrived at the scene.

“Friday, the plane took off from the Pakistani city of Lahore, heading to Karachi airport, and crashed near the airport,” the GAO television channel quoted a representative of the Department of Civil Aviation in Pakistan as saying on Friday.
