Padmarajan Award for Padmarajan Award; Subhash Chandran’s seasickness best novel


ChThe Padmarajan Memorial Trust has announced the literary and film awards instituted by the Padmarajan Memorial Trust. The 2019 awards have been announced. Subhash Chandran’s ‘Samudrasila’ published by Mathrubhumi Books has been selected as the best novel. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000, sculpture and a citation. The novel was nominated earlier this year.

Kumbalangi Nights is directed by Madhu C Narayanan. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, sculpture and a citation. ‘Nee’ by Sara Joseph was selected as the best short story. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 15,000, sculpture and a citation.

Sajin Babu won the Best Screenplay Award for the movie ‘Biryani’. The award carries Rs 15,000, sculpture and citation. Bobby and Sanjay, the screenwriters of the film ‘Ulaye’, have a special jury.

On May 23, P.O. The Trust has announced that the awards will be postponed for another time under the current Kovid scenario during the elaborate celebrations scheduled for the 75th birth anniversary of Padmarajan.
