Padmarajan Award 2020: Padmarajan awards announced; Best Director Madhu C Narayanan – Kumbalangi nights director madhu c Narayanan bags Padmarajan Award for Best Director


P. Pillai is a well known Malayalam director and writer. Padmarajan has announced the 2019 literary / motion picture awards. Subhash Chandran’s Samudra Shila Award for Best Novel Award and Madhu Si Narayanan for Kumbalangi Nights Award for Best Film Director. Today is the 75th birthday of Padmarajan. The Trust has introduced the novel prize for the first time this year.

Best Director

Madhu C Narayanan won the Padmarajan Award for Best Director for his role in Kumbalangi Nights last year. The award carries a cash prize of Rs.

Best Novelist

Subhas Chandran’s seasickness was chosen as the best novel. Subhash Chandran receives Rs 20,000, fame and sculpture award for best novel. The Padmarajan Memorial Trust has introduced a novel award from this year.

Great short story

Sarah Josephine Nee was awarded the Kacha Short Story Award. 15,000 and a citation. Sajin Babu wins screenplay for Biryani

Award winners

Bobby and Sanjay, who wrote the screenplay for Iyyere, received special jury awards. The award was decided by a jury comprising Prasanna Rajan, Rose Marie and Pradeep Panangad.

Kovid situation

The award ceremony was to be held on May 23, the 75th birthday of Padmarajan. But considering the Kovid situation, the ceremony has been postponed. Padmarajan Memorial Trust distributes awards every year for the past 27 years in Thiruvananthapuram.
