The patient from UMHAT “Medica Ruse”, who has already recovered from coronavirus, was discharged. After more than 3 weeks of treatment, the 41-year-old man is now in a stable condition, afebrile and without respiratory failure. The patient was discharged after two consecutive negative PCR test results and remained under home quarantine for 28 days.
The man from the village of Yasenovets, district Razgrad was admitted to the University Hospital “Medica Ruse” on April 26 with complaints of fatigue, cough, shortness of breath and fever with an accompanying disease – insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. The patient’s treatment was comprehensive, including with Hydroxychloroquine provided by RHI.
The specialized structure for treatment and monitoring of patients with COVID-19 at UMHAT “Medica Ruse” employs 15 people. It is headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dora Marinova – a specialist in lung diseases with a brilliant scientific career and a number of awards. The staff includes doctors in neurology, anesthesiology, cardiology, physical and rehabilitation medicine, nurses and orderlies. Periodically, the entire team of the structure is tested for coronavirus. The results of all studies are negative.
