Manchester United’s debt jumped to 429 million pounds

The management of Manchester United revealed that due to the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus, the team’s debts have risen by 127.4 million British pounds.

On Tuesday, the club said it suffered serious financial losses, which increased by 42%. In addition, they have to return 15 million pounds to television companies.

United’s debt is currently at $ 429 million due to a lack of revenue and a weakening pound against the dollar.

However, CEO Ed Woodard expressed the view that financial losses remained secondary during the pandemic.

“Our focus is on the health of our colleagues, fan partners around the world. We are proud of the way people associated with our club have reacted,” he said.
