Mamata Banerjee seeks help from Bengal victims Need army’s support


Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called on the Union government to deploy troops to help normalize the situation in West Bengal, which has caused heavy damage.

The Center has not responded to the demands of the state. Meanwhile, the National Disaster Response Force deployed more than 10 teams for rescue operations in Bengal. In addition to the 26 teams currently involved in the rescue operation, 10 additional teams have been deployed in the state.

More than 100 teams from various departments are involved in the rescue operation. The state government is in the process of cutting down the fallen trees to restore power supply in the state.

The Prime Minister paid a visit to Bengal last week, which caused huge damage to Umpun. After assessing the status quo of the state, he announced Rs 1,000 crore financial assistance.
