Coronavirus tests performed on all players and officials in the Premier League are negative, the league announced tonight.
After 12 positive tests were stopped for the last three test cycles, the last check shows that there are no new cases of Covid-19 in English football. Samples were taken from over 1,130 people – players and club staff.
“The Premier League can confirm that on May 29 and 29, 1,130 players and club employees were tested and no positive samples were found,” the league said in a statement.
“The Premier League provides summary information, but will not provide specific details about clubs or individuals. The results will be published after each stage of testing.”
A few days ago in England it was confirmed that the Premier League will be restarted on June 17. From the autumn, the stadiums are expected to have fans.
