Kuwait City: 279 Indians returned home after receiving pardon The jets returned on two flights by Jazeera Airways. The J9 1421 flight to Vijayawada, 150 passengers, and the J9 1423 flight to Lucknow returned 129 yesterday.
There were 7100 Indians in the Kuwait government’s temporary shelters waiting for the amnesty to be paid. The tickets are issued by the Kuwait government. Their flight was delayed due to lack of permission for the flight.
Later, the states of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu had approached the Center demanding the repatriation of them. It is learned that the state government has not yet approached the center for repatriation of Malayalees who have been granted amnesty.
