Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said 53 people in the state were affected by Kovid. Twelve patients from Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur districts, five each from Malappuram and Kasaragod districts, 4 each from Alappuzha, Ernakulam and Palakkad districts, 3 from Kollam, 2 from Pathanamthitta and one from Kozhikode. The Chief Minister said this through his official Facebook page.

Of the confirmed cases, 18 were from overseas (Oman-3, UAE-11, Saudi Arabia-3, Kuwait-1) and 29 from other states (Maharashtra-19, Gujarat-5, Tamil Nadu-3 and Delhi-1). , Madhya Pradesh-1) came. 5 people got infected through contact. One of them is a health worker from Palakkad district.

On the other hand, the test results of 5 people who have been diagnosed with the disease have been negative. Three people from Wayanad and two from Kasaragod district got negative results. So far, 322 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are undergoing treatment. 520 people have so far been released from Kovid.
