Kollam: Six people, including a 10-day-old girl, were confirmed by Kovid 19 on Sunday in Kollam.

Kovid confirmed on May 23 that the baby girl, 33-year-old resident of Kaluwathukkal, who was admitted to Government Medical College, Paripally, has been diagnosed with Covid. The woman gave birth to the baby through emergency surgery while undergoing treatment. The 10-day-old baby is the youngest person ever confirmed by Kovid in the district.

The 22-year-old from Ariyanallur, Kollam, who arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on May 22 from Thiruvananthapuram on May 20, arrived at Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express at Mumbai on May 25 from Thiruvananthapuram. The 23-year-old from Talavoor who arrived in Kollam from Karnatakapalli at Ernakulam on the 27th morning and forty-six-year-old from Kotiyam, Adichinallur, were the other patients diagnosed with the disease.

At Kollam, 35 people are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Twenty-one patients were discharged from hospital.
