As obzor.io reports, several anonymous Telegram channels reported on the possible hospitalization of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. On the evening of May 20, a statement was issued stating that the head of the republic had been infected with a coronavirus and had left for Moscow.
“With 70% lung damage, Kadyrov Ramzan Akhmatovich, the Chechen Minister of Health and the director of the Chechen State Television and Radio Company, were taken to Moscow on a special flight,” the channel wrote.
Official comments from the Chechen leadership on this information have not yet been made public. Earlier, obzor.io wrote that the head of the republican headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus and spokesman for the Chechen parliament Magomed Daudov was a potential carrier of the virus, and the initial test showed that he had a new type of disease.
Ramzan Kadyrov himself spoke about this during a live broadcast. – I told him (BR of the Minister of Health of Chechnya):

The Chechen leader shared this story in response to a request from an Instagram user to tell a funny incident from his life. In the end, the test in Moscow confirmed that Daudov was not ill. A ban on entering and leaving Chechnya has been in place since April 5th. Ramzan Kadyrov called for the return of all Chechens to the country.
Also, a curfew was imposed in Chechnya after eight in the evening. The authorities of the republic have banned weddings, funerals and other mass celebrations, as well as visits of believers to a collective Friday prayer.
A special access regime has been introduced in Chechnya since April 13 – even for trips to a store or pharmacy, families must receive special passes from the local administration. On May 21, 1,026 patients with coronavirus were confirmed in Chechnya. Confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been found in all regions of the South and North Caucasus Federal Districts.
