The Bulgarian ace in MMA Blagoy Ivanov-Bagata lost again with a controversial referee’s decision.
With 2: 1 referee votes (27-30, 29-28, 29-28) Augusto Sacay won the heavyweight match of the gala program, which the most authoritative MMA chain – UFC, holds at its state-of-the-art center in Las Vegas .
In the same way, Bagata lost in his previous match to the American Derrick Lewis, who later admitted that he did not expect his hand to be raised.
Thus, although he presented himself with dignity again, Ivanov recorded 2 losses in a row for the first time in his MMA career. His statistics are now 18/4.
After the victory Sakai is with 15/1.
In the third 5-minute round, Sakai escaped from the ground by grabbing the fence of the cage and had to be punished by taking a point, but it did not happen.
According to the UFC website, this cost the Bulgarian dearly.
The battles in Vegas, of course, took place without an audience because of the spread of the coronavirus. The gala is the first sporting event in the state of Nevada during the pandemic.
Mixed martial arts is the first sport to go to the United States again, thanks to the UFC.
