Joshua: I can’t fight Mike Tyson, people will whistle at me

World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is adamant that a fight with legend Mike Tyson is impossible and such a clash would be disrespectful to the American.

Tyson put on his boxing gloves again and is training to return to the ring, eventually fighting Evender Holyfield or Shannon Briggs. There was also talk of a clash with Tyson Fury.

However, Joshua does not enter into these accounts, and this is clear after he was specifically asked about a possible similar clash.

“I respectfully say that this will not happen. Even if I fight Iron Mike and beat him, I think I will be the only one who will celebrate. People will whistle at me. He is a legend and he is the greatest boxer. “There are only two recognizable champions in the world, Ali and Mike Tyson – they are the most recognizable faces when it comes to boxing,” said AJ.

Joshua has repeatedly said that he has been idolizing Tyson since he was a child and has watched his matches to motivate himself. To date, the Englishman himself can serve as a motivation for young boxers who are just starting their sports career.
