New Delhi: India is doing enough to resolve the border dispute between India and China and no outside mediation is needed. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh rejects US mediation At the same time, he said India and China are in talks on diplomatic and military levels. US Defense Secretary Mark Esper has informed India’s stand on US mediation. China has responded in a similar fashion to US President Donald Trump’s promise.

India’s policy is to maintain warm relations with neighboring countries. Rajnath, however, pointed out that certain circumstances have led to disputes with China.
The fourth meeting between the commanders of the two countries on the border to resolve the dispute failed. China has been firm in its demand for a halt to cross-border road construction, as China wants to back off from the moves it is targeting.
