In his recollections of the story’s Gandharvan; Padmarajan without a copy


Director and screenwriter Padmarajan is the gandharvan of stories. He gave films that survive the time period to Malayalam cinema. Today is the birthday of the beloved director of Malayalam. He is the sixth son of Ananthapadmanabha Pillai and Devakiyamma at Muthukulam near Haripad in Alappuzha district.

He is an artist who has gifted Malayalam cinema with a different storyline and over the years, he has brought to the fore a large number of characters who have never forgotten the fan world. Padmarajan’s first published work is ‘Lola Miss Ford, American Girl’ published in Kaumudi Weekly.

He started his career as an announcer at Thrissur Aviation in 1965. He resigned from his job in the aeronautics industry after he became active in film industry. While working in the aeronautics, he publishes notable stories such as Aparan, Prahelica and Smoking Glass.
