Greece with a generous gift for more than 500 thousand citizens

The Greek Ministry of Social Affairs is allocating 30m euros in free holiday vouchers to 533,000 low-income working or unemployed people. The condition is an annual income of up to 30 thousand euros with paid insurance at least 50 days before submitting the application, BNR writes.

Preference is given to families with small children. This possibility also includes Bulgarians working in Greece, who have a decent tax file.

This year, the amount of vouchers for domestic tourism has increased three times compared to last year.

The Ministry of Social Affairs in our southern neighbor aims, on the one hand, to support domestic tourism after the coronavirus crisis and, on the other hand, to enable more than half a million socially disadvantaged and unemployed people to rest for free.

It is also being considered to pay part of the transport costs, which will direct many holidaymakers to the islands.
