New Delhi: Gautam Gambhir slammed MSK Prasad as Chairman Gambhir alleged that the selectors had no conversations with the players. Gambhir was also criticized in a TV program for his remarks on the 3-D referendum to oust Ambati Rayudu before the 2019 World Cup. Gambhir was criticized at the Star Sports event where MSK Prasad and former star K Srikanth participated.Also Read: Sachin Tendulkar I Don’t Like
He was dismissed after the first match of the 2016 England series. The selectors did not speak after this. The same has happened with Karun Nair, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina. The selectors refused to talk to these players about what their cricketing career was. Gambhir also pointed out that the selectors had fallen for Ambati Rayudu too.

For two years, Rayudu was named No. 4 in the team. Vijay Shankar was dropped from the squad just before the World Cup. Gambhir also mocked the chief selector’s explanation that they needed a 3D cricketer. MSK Prasad, however, retaliated by saying he had reason to include Vijay Shankar in the squad.

Prasad said they needed a seam bowler to play in England. None of the top batsmen can help in seam bowling. Therefore it was essential for a bowling all-rounder. Prasad explained that Vijay Shankar’s performance in domestic cricket also led to his selection. K Srikanth, meanwhile, said that there is a lot of difference between domestic and international cricket.
