Gangtok: First corona positive case reported in Sikkim The South Sikkim native, who had just returned from Delhi following a lockdown concession, was diagnosed with the disease. Sikkim is the only state in the country that has not reported the virus.

Sikkim also imposed stricter restrictions as it shares borders with China, Bhutan and Bengal. Sikkim has been in the green zone for the past three months.

The person who returned from Delhi has been confirmed. He was under observation at the Quarantine Center in Rabangla. An examination of his body revealed that the corona is positive today. “We have informed the state health department,” Sikkim Health Director General said.

Since the Kovid 19 inspection labs have not yet been set up in the state, samples were sent to the Medical College in Siliguri, Bengal.

Tourists have been denied entry to the state since February as part of the Corona defense. Until October, admission to those outside the state was also suspended.
