Egyptian director Peter Mimi revealed the deletion of a scene from the “martyrdom of officer Ahmed Mansi”, as part of the “Choice” series, which was shown in the month of Ramadan.
Peter Mimi said that he preferred to delete the scenery of tahliri of the takfiri who killed Mansi, who is called Abu Amira, and who played his role in the series, Muhammad Yusuf, where he used to say, “God is great, God is great, the peacock perished.”
And the director thought, “It is better to delete this scene, and only for the moment of Ahmed Mansi’s martyrdom so that the audience is not excited.”
“Choice” starring Amir Karara, Ahmed Al-Awadi, Dina Fouad, Sarah Adel, Dhiaa Abdel-Khaleq and a large number of guests of honor, written by Bahir Dowidar and directed by Peter Mimi and produced by Synergy Company.
The series “The Choice” deals with the sacrifices and heroism of the Egyptian army, through the story of Ahmed Mansi, commander of the 103th Saada Brigade, who died in 2017, after a terrorist attack on the “Al-Burth” square in Sinai.
